Recordings of Sermons
During Lent, as we continue to move from the Cradle to the Cross, the pastor’s messages consider a Breviary of Sin, and address the more insidious forms that sin takes in our lives. The framework for the series is drawn from the book, “Not the Way It’s Supposed to Be” by Cornelius Plantinga. During the season that points to the journey from Cradle to the Cross, the pastor spends time with one of the greatest documents of our Christian Faith, “The Lord’s Prayer.” Beginning and ending in praise, with a sandwich of requests in-between, this prayer is an important teaching model for the Christian. More than that, it shapes the foundation for our relationship with God.
For the Season of Advent, the pastor used the prophet Habakkuk and his call to God to act. Habakkuk asks God the question, “God, things are tough down here, why are you not doing anything?” The answer comes in God’s discipline and love, “The Just shall live by faith.”
