Weekend Retreat

Imagine True Community...

...Imagine Third Baptist Church

On November 2, 3, and 4, Third Baptist Church invites you to be a part of a unique opportunity for fun, fellowship, and food as we create a "living mosaic" of faith and stewardship with a weekend retreat unlike any other.

In celebration of our church community's rich diversity, we've put together a collection of inspiring and interactive events featuring something for everyone...

Friday, November 2

Acclaimed vocalist and friend of TBC Kim Massie opens the festivities with a concert of gospel music, followed by a delicious dessert reception.

Saturday, November 3

The renowned A.D. Players from Houston, TX present a dramatic performance and draw Third members into a series of integrative theatrical games. The church family assembles in small teams for a lighthearted board game competition, and to learn a little more about each other, our unique abilities, and our collective strengths. St. Louis Shakespeare's Magic Smoking Monkey Theatre engages Third with a family-friendly improv comedy performance. Later that night, Third's many talented members share their gifts of song, dance, and more in an after-dinner coffee house-style talent show, and the youth of Third gather for an overnight lock-in to enjoy their own special period of late-night laughter and bonding.

Sunday, November 4

The Youth rise early to help welcome everyone back for a church-wide Pancake Breakfast. The entire congregation joins together in the culmination of our month-long stewardship celebration to create a work of mosaic art that will be displayed in the halls of Third as a symbol of our unique campaign of "stewardship through relationship." Finally, our annual Consecration Luncheon closes this remarkable weekend with a multimedia presentation on the past, present, and future of Third – and a chance to learn how you can enrich that future.

Come participate in a celebration of music, games, and intergenerational relationships, and discover what we can accomplish together as a church family. Mark your calendar now!

Further details will follow in future issues of Third Base and in your weekly church bulletin. Contact the church office with questions.

We look forward to sharing this incredible opportunity with you!
